Neonatal acne occurs in 20% of newborns, and can appear as white or red spots on the face, neck, chest and back. Scarring is unlikely, if un-scratched. This 5 week old newborn, presented with red acne, yellow crusting in the lower portion of the ear, and frequent colic and regurgitation. The acne had begun at 3 weeks old, and had worsened by 4 weeks. The mother had a history of eczema and a history of food sensitivities. It appears likely, that the crusting in the newborn's ear was eczematous, though cradle cap is a likely cause of yellow crusting.

Always bring foods and snacks that you can eat. For some this might be foods that are gluten free, dairy free, or FODMAP-friendly foods. These specific food categories may not be served on the plane or the airports. On shorter flight, you can bring small cooler bags of snack and foods. As long as there are no liquids, security won’t take it from you. Be sure to bring enough food to last for your journey. Long term travel will require different preparation.
